Welcome to the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission

Welcome to the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission

30. March, 2012UncategorizedComments Off on Welcome to the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission

Yes, these islands of the Turks and Caicos (TCI) are “Beautiful by Nature” and were created by the wonderful, loving Creator, Almighty God. We attest that the beauty of the 40 islands and cays are matched only by the beauty and charm of the inhabitants that occupy eight of these islands. We believe that TCI’s beauty will only be surpassed when God creates a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness will dwell in all its effulgent splendor.

Just as our Creator desires to share with you what He will recreated, we also would like until then to share with you this nation of islands. We are located 550 miles southeast of Miami, Florida, just below the Bahamas chain and just to the east of Cuba and the island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti.) We are informed that technically, the Turks and Caicos are located in the Atlantic Ocean, not the Caribbean Sea.

The Turks and Caicos Islands house extensive areas of uncrowded beaches with warm, clear hues of breathtaking water, a wonderful climate, vibrant coral reefs and legendary diving and snorkeling. Whether you are on land or below the water, you can relax in the unique serenity, hospitality and beauty of our islands.

We believe that Jesus, by whom all things good were created, will soon come and take His believers to heaven. However, for now we invite you to attend one of our churches and get a foretaste of heaven on earth.Additionally, you will see how wonderful and friendly our people are, not only when you visit these islands, but also when you visit our churches.

We have nine churches, with approximately 2,500 members, helping to strengthen the fabric of society. You see, we not only have a history of salt mining, but, we believe in being the salt of the earth; for one out of every 17 persons in the Turks and Caicos Islands is a Seventh-day Adventists. We may be found in all walks of life: the hospitality and banking industry, professional, government, and volunteers. Our pastoral and church teams provide relevant care for the family with children, men, women, singles’ ministries, premaritalcounseling as well as marriage enrichment that benefit both the church and community. Seeking to imitate and replicate the love of Jesus, when the country celebrates, we are there; when a community mourns, we are there.

Personal and public ministries, Bible study, ADRA, food and clothing distribution programs, youth events, these all run throughout the year. All that we do, and all that we have, is for the glory of God, the empowering of people and the upbuilding of society.

We have an accredited high school of distinction (Maranatha Academy), one local church operated preparatory school (Newman’s Prep) and three private elementary institutions operated by Seventh-day Adventists; an Adventist Book Centre and Health Food Store; and then there is inspiring Christian Seventh-day Adventist 24 hour broadcasting, namely, 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network) on both WIV Cable TV Channel 854 and PTV Network, People’s Television, Channel 65.

So, whether you are resident, visiting by plane, or arriving by cruise ship, check our schedule of services, we’d love to see you. Feel free to call and let us know you are coming. Our contact number is 649-941-8735. Or just show up, but watch out you just might want to remain with us and why not for we believe that this can be “a forever friendship” with us and our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Michael A. Smith, TCIM President
