Seven young people gave their lives to the Lord in the first ever Youth Summer Tent Crusade themed “Divergent – Going Against the Tide of Contemporary Culture.” The week long evangelistic series was held from August 13th to 19th, 2017 at the grand tent pitched at the Maranatha Academy grounds.

Youth Praise Team Singing

Two of the seven newly baptized went into the waters of baptism in Wednesday night’s service.
Nightly services began with praise and worship and continued with prayer and special music which set the tone for fiery, spirit filled sermons by Evangelist, Pastor Roy Lindsay and Co-Evangelist sister Wilnide Julmiste who translated the nightly sermons to creole. This was the first youth tent crusade hosted in the Mission and a first having to feature a  co-evangelist.

Sermons had youth centered titles such as “YOLO” and “Divergent – The Majority Isn’t Always Right”
Special features on Stewardship, Health and fitness, Self Esteem and the Youth Programs of the church such as Pathfinder Club, added an educational aspect to the nightly services and opened the floor for questions and answers.
Youth Ministries Director for the Turks and Caicos Islands Mission of Seventh-day Adventist said she was proud of the way in which the youth participated in the crusade and urged senior members to support events that the youth are involved in. She welcomed the newly baptized into the fold on Christ Jesus and encouraged them to be a part of the youth programs of the church.
